Description
Rental bikes sit in front of a local shop sporting a surfboard advertising bikinis in the California beach town of Ventura.
Ventura lies on the Pacific coast of California between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. Originating as a Chumash village, it was colonized by the Spanish after Father Junipero Serra established Mission San Buenaventura in 1782 and the California town was incorporated in 1866. It is well-known for its climate and surfing conditions, and it's coastal environment is a typical Califonia "beach town."
