Description
While other cruise lines paint their ships all white, or even in colorful motifs, the 147-year old Holland America Line continues to use the classic black and white.
The MS Maasdam was built in 1993 and is the fifth Holland America ship to bear the name. Even though it's the oldest ship in Holland America's fleet, the cruise line refurbished it in 2018 which will make sure it sees many more years of service. As cruise ships go, the Maasdam is one of the smallest, carrying about 1,500 passengers at a time when the newest ships are being built to hold over 6,000.
