Description
The Kaweah River parallels highway 198 in Sequoia National Park. This photograph was made as it passed through a large pile of boulders, where there was very little light. I used a 1/4 second exposure which gives the moving water the look of spun silk.
Sequoia National Park sits on the western side of the southern Sierra Nevada mountain range in California. Best known for the giant trees after which it is named it is home to. The General Sherman tree, the world's largest living thing calculated at over 52,500 cubic feet. Also within the park is Mount Whitney - the highest peak in the contiguous 48 United States.
