Description
"Look INTO the Moon" - In 1911 the Moon Motor Car Company's advertising emphasized quality and engineering. Readers were presented with features such as four bolt instead of two on the connecting rods, 1-3/4" diameter crankshaft bearings, 3-inch wide steel frames, and more. Moon set the standard for reliability and style during the Golden Age of the Automobile.
Moon was just one of nearly 100 car companies headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. Most others closed down within a few years, but Moon remained in business from 1905 to 1930, when the depression forced the company to shut its doors.
