Ain't Nature Beautiful? -- Osprey Eating Jacksmelt in Morro Bay, California Toddler T-Shirt

The natural world isn't all stunning landscapes, beautiful butterflies, and majestic creatures running or flying across the scenery. One minute a jacksmelt was swimming in the harbor of Morro Bay feasting with its school on tiny plankton and smaller fish, the next it was being taken high up to the top of a fishing boat's mast to be torn apart by this osprey.

I have been photographing the things I see for over thirty years. A resident of San Luis Obispo County, I'm lucky to have many excellent photo destinations within a few minutes' or hours' drive.
