The plague seemed to finally be ending. Building up her courage, she donned a protective mask and left the safety of quarantine to venture outside. She could only hope the thin cloth would protect her from any viruses floating in the air. It had been a suspenseful year of being locked away in isolation; wondering what the future would bring. It had been a long trip - one she hoped would soon be over.
COVID-19 had us all in quarantine for the better part of a year in 2020 and 2021. My usual travel was canceled from May of '20 until the summer of '21. This photo was from a road trip in September of that year, when it was finally OK to cross state lines.
