St. John's is the capital of Antigua and Barbuda, and is located on the island of Antigua. Antigua and Barbuda is a country that consists of two major and several smaller islands of the Lesser Antilles that lie between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Antigua and Barbuda, the two major islands, are low-lying islands where the terrain was influenced primarily by limestone formations rather than volcanic activity. In 2009, the tallest peak in the island of Antigua was renamed Mount Obama after the 44th President of the United States.
