Description
The Chicago Tribune was founded in 1847, and is perhaps most famous for it's 1948 headline, "Dewey Defeats Truman," in which it erroneously announced the wrong winner in the presidential election.
Tribune Tower is the home of the Chicago Tribune and Tribune Media, among other tenants. The Gothic Revival tower was the winning design of over 260 entered in a 1922 design contest. Construction of the Tribune Tower was completed in 1925. It is 36 stories tall at a height of 462 feet.
