Description

A single strand of barbed wire stands against a background of California grasses.

I set out to make a photograph to show the browns of the grasses in the California hills. However, the brown background with the rusty strand of barbed wire didn't have the interest I was looking for. I decided to increase the color saturation and sharpness to unnatural levels to bring out these wild colors in the rust, while keeping the background soft and letting the brown shift to orange.
