Description
Shell Geyser was named for its golden sinster lining which some say resembles the shell of a bivalve, but when contrasted with the pure blue opening in the stormy sky it reminded me of a passage to the underworld.
Shell Geyser is located in Biscuit Basin at Yellowstone National Park. It is a very irregularly erupting geyser with intervals that are between 1.5 and several hours.
