Description
Dedicated in 1995, the Korean War Veterans Memorial is located near the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall in Washington DC. The memorial commemorates the sacrifices almost six-million Americans who served in the U.S. armed services during the conflict. This statue is one of 19 sculpted by Frank Gaylord of Barre, VT representing an ethnic cross-section of America and each of the four branches of service. The granite wall was designed by Louis Nelson of New York, NY and represents those forces supporting the foot soldier.
