Description
Team Nemo Money wasn't clowning around with their entry in the 24 Hours of Lemons race at the Sonoma Raceway. No fish out of water, their Mazda Miata came in 3rd overall at the March 2018 Sears Pointless race.
You never know what you'll find on on the racetrack at a 24 Hours of LeMons race, an endurance race series for cars that are bought and prepped for the track for $500 USD or less. Just about anything with four wheels that was street legal when it was made and passes the safety inspection is welcome. The rules do let you spend more for the wheels, brakes, and required safety gear, but if the judges decide the basic car is worth more than $500 you'll be penalized one lap for each $10 they decide you've gone over. No prior racing experience or training is required - if you've got a driver's license and an old beater, you're ready to race.
