Description
When Argentine President Juan Peron and his First Lady Eva wanted to be seen in style, they chose this 1938 Packard Super 8 Parade Phaeton. Riding on a chassis built in Detroit by premier auto maker Packard, the body was built by Derham of Rosemont, Pennsylvana. At a time when you could buy a new Ford off the assembly line for about $625, this car sold for $10,000 and took months to build.
This car belongs to the Petersen Automotive Museum and was on loan to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in 2015.
