Artist's Description
A life hook and life ring on the wall of an indoor swimming pool.
Life hooks and life rings are common poolside safety devices. While the ring is designed to be thrown to a person in distress, the life hook is used to drag the person from the edge. This prevents a rescuer from having to get in the water and possibly be drowned by the person they are saving.
