Millions of years of heat and pressure can fold rock into weird and wonderful shapes. These folds can stretch over long distances, or be densely packed like in this formation overhanging a section of Highway 180 in Kings Canyon National Park.

I have been photographing the things I see for over thirty years. A resident of San Luis Obispo County, I'm lucky to have many excellent photo destinations within a few minutes' or hours' drive.
