6,700 feet in the air, Moro Rock in Sequoia National Park overlooks the rugged terrain that separates it from the vast San Joaquin Valley to the west.

This is a tinted version of my "Valley Fog" photo

Fog from the San Joaquin Valley in California works its way through the foothills of the western slope Sierra Nevada Mountains on a November evening. The setting sun lights the sky in shades of brownish orange and silhouettes the rows mountains.
