Description
The 70-foot The Pyramide des Ha! Ha! consists of an aluminum frame upon which about 3,000 reflective yield signs are mounted. One side of the pyramid has a large concealed door that swings up to expose a concert stage. A central staircase within leads to an observation deck. The pyramid was built to commemorate the floods of 1996 in the borough of La Baie in Saguenay, Quebec. Ten people died, 3,000 were evacuated and 250 buildings were destroyed when the Saguenay and Ha! Ha! Rivers flooded during a severe rainstorm.
