I saw the video you made of this geologic feature on YouTube. The soft trickle of water rushing over millions of limestone ridges was surprisingly soothing. Great capture! L/F

Artist's Description

Orange cyanobacteria thrives in the relatively cool 157 degree Fahrenheit water running down the sides of Orange Spring Mound in the Mammoth Hot Springs area of Yellowstone National Park. Water coming from the small opening at the tip of this formation runs over the limestone formation in thin sheets, depositing even more limestone as it does.
