Description
Shake it up, baby! Unlike most marine mammals, sea otters don't have a layer of blubber. Instead they rely on the densest fur in the animal kingdom - up to one-million hairs per square inch - to keep them warm. These coats require constant attention. Otters are almost constantly cleaning their fur, and occasionally hold their upper bodies above the surface and shake vigorously.
