Description
A man watches a freight train roll through the Montpelier, Vermont Amtrak station on an October night.
Montpelier station is located in Berlin, Vermont, about three miles south of central Montpelier. It is served by Amtrak's Vermonter train. The current station was built in 1934 by the Central Vermont Railway.
Montpelier is the capital city of Vermont, and the county seat of Washington County. It is located in north-central Vermont and is surrounded by hills and granite ledges. With a population of only about 8,000, it has the distinction of being the US state capital with the lowest population in the United States. The population almost triples during working hours due to the large number of jobs within the city.

Thanks, James. I love Vermont (and the entire northeast) and would have moved there long ago except for one thing - winter.
