Artist's Description
The evening sunset lights the buildings of San Francisco's financial district gold behind the Ferry Building.
The Ferry Building opened in 1898 as the terminal for ferries connecting San Francisco with the cities on the east side of the bay. It was the second busiest transit terminal in the world until the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges opened in the 1930s. In the 1950s it was converted into office space. I the early 1990s the building was converted again with the intent of restoring much of it while allowing for portions to be modified for retail use.

I have been photographing the things I see for over thirty years. A resident of San Luis Obispo County, I'm lucky to have many excellent photo destinations within a few minutes' or hours' drive.
