Description
Team Baka (Japanese for "fool") put the body of a 1971 Honda N600 over a custom chassis and the engine from a Honda S2000, put a driver where the back seat should be, painted it up like a Japanese Zero, and sent their creation onto the track in the 24 Hours of LeMons race at the Sonoma Raceway.
The 24 Hours of LeMons is an endurance race series for cars that are bought and prepped for the track for $500 USD or less. Just about anything with four wheels that was street legal when it was made and passes the safety inspection is welcome. The rules do let you spend more for the wheels, brakes, and required safety gear, but if the judges decide the basic car is worth more than $500 you'll be penalized one lap for each $10 they decide you've gone over. No prior racing experience or training is required - if you've got a driver's license and an old beater, you're ready to race.
