What young girl doesn't dream about riding her very own horse at the edge of the sea? Although a common fantasy, only a few actually get to have their dream come true.
This scene was captured on on the seashore in the coastal California town of Morro Bay. The horse is an Isabelle-Palomino Lusitano, trained by her young rider as a champion jumper. Her white coat and translucent mane and tail make her a stunning sight to watch performing in the stadium, but today is a day for playing in the surf.
I have been photographing the things I see for over thirty years. A resident of San Luis Obispo County, I'm lucky to have many excellent photo destinations within a few minutes' or hours' drive.
