Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

An Owl Butterfly at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.
Owl Butterflies are found primarily in rainforests from Mexico to South America. They are so named from the spots on their wings that resemble owl's eyes, which are believed to be a form of mimicry to confuse predators into believing that they are a lizard or amphibian.
The California Academy of Sciences is one of the largest natural history museums in the world. Located in San Francisco, California, it houses over 26-million specimens. It is California's oldest operating museum and research institution for the natural sciences, having been started in 1853. It moved to its permanent location in Golden Gate Park in 1916. The buildings suffered significant damage in the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake and in 2008 they were replaced by a new 400,00 square foot building.
I have been photographing the things I see for over thirty years. A resident of San Luis Obispo County, I'm lucky to have many excellent photo destinations within a few minutes' or hours' drive. Beyond the local area, I have traveled throughout California and the western United States, visited far away American destinations such as Chicago, New York, Florida, and Alaska, and international destinations in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
