You never know who you're going to meet at the beach. This astonished fellow was laying among thousands of rocks, He had many adventures along the shore: visiting many other small rocks, climbing onto piles of seaweed (only to be chased away by sand flies,) and here getting too close and nearly drowning at the edge of a small creek. He decided in the end to travel home with my lady and me, and I'm sure he'll be having more adventures as he explores the great big world with us.
I have been photographing the things I see for over thirty years. A resident of San Luis Obispo County, I'm lucky to have many excellent photo destinations within a few minutes' or hours' drive. Beyond the local area, I have traveled throughout California and the western United States, visited far away American destinations such as Chicago, New York, Florida, and Alaska, and international destinations in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
