Artist's Description
A couple is married in Five Wounds Church in San Jose, California. Although it is a Portuguese church, Catholics of all nationalities are welcome. This appears to be a traditional Mexican ceremony.
The church is in the heart of San Jose's Little Portugal. It's design inspired by Igreja de Santa Cruz in Portugal, construction on Five Wounds Church in San Jose, California, was completed in July of 1919.
