Description
Guests at a small group of cabins in Beaver, Washington, can take a stroll along an old stretch of abandoned road to find this landmark from the past.
When the Olympic Loop Highway opened in 1931, the splendor of northwest Washington State opened with it. Anyone with a car could easily access the incredible scenery of the Olympic Peninsula. Most of the old highway is still there, but some realignments caused places like this bridge to be abandoned to time.
The old US101 highway crossed Beaver Creek on this bridge. While cars with rumble seats have given way to moss and leaves, the bridge still stands much as it did nearly a century ago.
