Description
This little Miata has big dreams of being a Jaguar, and with a little bit of spray foam insulation applied by the automotive surgeons at Half-Life Racing, the Mazda is starting to look like the D-Type it's always wanted to be.
The 24 Hours of LeMons is an endurance race series for cars that are bought and prepped for the track for $500 USD or less. Just about anything with four wheels that was street legal when it was made and passes the safety inspection is welcome. The rules do let you spend more for the wheels, brakes, and required safety gear, but if the judges decide the basic car is worth more than $500 you'll be penalized one lap for each $10 they decide you've gone over. No prior racing experience or training is required - if you've got a driver's license and an old beater, you're ready to race.
